Hi, welcome.
I'm Jaanu Kalyani, and this blog is a tribute to a dream my sister Abby and I once shared. After her passing, I felt a deep desire to bring that dream to life in her honour. Here, I celebrate food, travel, lifestyle, and the beauty in everyday moments — inviting you to savour life with intention and kindness.

This feels fitting to share. I spent time editing my latest blog, only to realize—too late—that I’d accidentally posted an older version. I didn’t catch it right away, and that in itself felt very… perimenopause.

I’m sharing the link again with the updated version. If you’re navigating similar moments of fog, frustration, or humour, you’re not alone.

Thank you for reading and for being here.

✨ Pongalo Pongal ✨ Between seasons and across bor ✨ Pongalo Pongal ✨

Between seasons and across borders, some traditions travel with us.

This Pongal, I’m celebrating gratitude, abundance, and renewal—from Sri Lanka to Canada. Whether the pot bubbles over under a blazing sun or beside a snowy window, the meaning remains the same: thankfulness for what we have and hope for what’s ahead.

January gives us more than one new beginning.
One invites intention.
The other reminds us to pause and give thanks.

May your year overflow—quietly or loudly—with warmth, joy, and meaning.
